Racial, cultural, gender, economic and all division in this country do not belong. Disparities between others should not divide but strengthen us. Acceptance is all we can strive for as we wish to truly make this country great again (if it ever was).

Background (starting from upper left corner): Declaration of Independence, MLK Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, The XIX Amendment to the United States Constitution, and a Washington Post article on the legalization of gay marriage.
All articles drawn with ink on coffee-stained water color paper.

Medium: Acrylic paint on wooden board
Original size: 4' X 4'

Originally meant for a performance piece for the Sedro-Woolley High School Martin Luther King Jr. Assembly; articles and flag made before-hand, three hands completed during assembly, rest completed in class afterwards. This painting is currently hung-up in a hall of SWHS in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.
